The Hardkiss

The Hardkiss is a Ukrainian band from Kyïv, formed in 2011 by singer Юлія Саніна and guitarist Валерій Бебко. The group is active from 2011 to the present and is associated with alternative rock, pop rock and rock, with the broader sound also linked to electronic and dance elements.

Career

The Hardkiss releases songs in Ukrainian. The band gains wider attention in Ukraine through its participation in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song “Helpless”, where it places second in the final.

Members

Alongside Sanina and Bebko, the band includes Klym Lysiuk and Yevhen Kibeliev from 2019.

Awards

The Hardkiss wins several YUNA awards, the Ukrainian national music awards. These include Best New Act and Best Music Video in 2013, and Best Album and Best Song in 2015.
