The Great Excuse is a music project led by Declan Carlin, Connor Crawford and Freddie Dawson. It comes from the Colchester area and is presented as a collaboration created for the trio’s own enjoyment. Their music draws on a wide range of influences rather than a single defined source, and the project is framed around making songs that are enjoyable to hear.
