The Gospel Youth

The Gospel Youth are a group from Brighton, England. The band forms in the South Coast UK scene and consists of Samuel Little, Julian Bowen, Kev Deverick, Tom Aylott and Kurtis Maiden. Their early releases include the Kids EP, which appears at the end of 2014, followed in 2015 by Empires and The True Lost Boys.

Career

In 2015, The Gospel Youth share stages with We Are The Ocean, Mallory Knox, Deaf Havana, Sam Duckworth and Verses, among others. In 2016, they tour with Hands Like Houses and release music through their fan club, Team TGY, on a monthly single basis. Their 2016 run begins with the singles Resolutions and DST, followed by All She Ever Does. The band uses this approach to keep releasing new songs without waiting to put out a debut full-length album.

Debut album

In 2017, the band releases its first studio album, Always Lose. The record is received well by critics and appears on many end-of-year best-of lists.

Line-up change

In 2018, lead vocalist Sam Little is accused of sexual misconduct and leaves the band after a statement from the group.
