The Ghost of a Thousand

The Ghost of a Thousand are a punk-influenced hardcore band from Brighton, United Kingdom, formed in 2004. The line-up consists of vocalist Tom Lacey, guitarists Andy Blyth and Jag Jago, drummer Memby Jago and bassist Gaz Spencer.

Career and live activity

The band plays fast, aggressive hardcore and performs extensively, with hundreds of shows including headline tours, festival appearances and dates with bands such as Gallows and Poison The Well. They also support Alexisonfire at the final UK shows of that band.

Releases

The Ghost of a Thousand release two albums: their debut, This Is Where the Fight Begins, and New Hopes, New Demonstrations. The second album comes out in 2009 and is recorded by Pelle Gunnefeldt, who also works with The Hives and Refused.

Recognition

The band receives Kerrang! Award nominations and appears in Q Magazine’s Top Five metal bands.
