The Gentle Good
The Gentle Good is the stage name of Gareth Bonello, a folk musician from Cardiff, Wales. He writes and performs songs in both English and Welsh, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. The project is associated with Welsh folk music and uses a solo format centred on Bonello’s voice and guitar.
Early releases
He appears on the compilation In the City - Unsigned 2006 with the track “Amser”. In 2007, Gwymon Records releases the EP Dawel Disgyn, followed by the debut album While You Slept I Went Out Walking on the same label. His second album, Tethered for the Storm, follows in 2011.
Later work
In 2013, he releases Y Bardd Anfarwol, an album shaped by traditional folk music from both China and Wales.
