The Farm Band

The Farm Band is a United States group made up of members of the Tennessee rural and vegetarian community known as the Farm, which is directed by Stephen Gaskin. Gaskin is described as the group’s guru, and the band releases four albums between 1972 and 1977.

Their music is described as drawing inspiration from the Grateful Dead, with long blues-based jams, prominent guitar solos, and the use of flute and violin. Several of their tracks run for more than eight minutes.
