The Family Rain
The Family Rain are a three-piece group from Bath, England, made up of brothers Oliver Philip Walter, Timothy Michael Walter and William Robert Walter. They form in 2009 and work in blues rock, indie rock and rock. Their sound combines blues and rock with the tight interplay of siblings who know each other well.
Recorded work
The band releases its debut album, Under The Volcano, in 2014. It is produced by Jim Abbiss and features heavy riffs, inventive percussion and wordplay, placing classic rock influences into a modern rock setting. Their later material is recorded at Rockfield Studios with producer Tom Dalgety, who also works with Royal Blood and Turbowolf.
Live performance and style
On stage, The Family Rain presents a three-part attack built around forceful sound and melodic hooks. Their songs often pair persistent melodies with metallic guitar riffs, giving their music a direct, energetic character.
