The Fallows

The Fallows are an acoustic-based indie folk band from Coventry. The line-up includes Ross Darby on vocals and guitar, Pete Rutherford on vocals and keys, Sam Stokes on bass, Neal Pointon on fiddle and mandolin, and Ciaran Corkerry on drums. Neal Pointon is an All Britain fiddle and mandolin champion.

Releases and recordings

The band releases music on 4Real Records. Their debut CD, Face The Wolves, is produced by Paul Sampson, who is known for his work with The La's and The Primitives. Their second CD, Liars & Kings, also receives positive reviews. Tracks including “Kerry Girl” and “Run Like A Dog” receive airplay on RTE 1 in Ireland, and the group also receives national play on BBC radio.

Live activity and exposure

The Fallows play festivals and supports across the UK, including Godiva, Wychwood, Simon Says, Strawberry Fields, Folkstock, Off The Tracks, Leamington Peace Festival and Napton. They also provide main support for The Enemy on part of a UK tour and appear with artists including King Charles, Nizlopi, Maximo Park and Lucy Rose. Their performances and recordings appear on BBC Introducing, national television, Hollyoaks, and a wide range of BBC, independent and internet radio stations.

Media and reception

Face The Wolves receives positive reviews from R2, ALTSounds, FATEA, Soldier Magazine and The Telegraph. The band is also featured on a BBC Introducing Mixtape presented by Tom Robinson. Their music reaches BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 in the UK and Ireland, and is played on stations across many countries.
