The Elephant Tree is a one-man band project by Puerto Rican artist Gennady Gómez. It begins as an early outlet for music experimentation and home recording, with tracks first developed in his bedroom.

Gómez is also a member of the music duo El Oso y la Pantera and the singer and guitarist of Cougar City. Over the years, The Elephant Tree records a number of songs, some of which other local artists use in remixes. Recording resumes in 2010 after a period of neglect, and the project is described as preparing its first EP.
