The Electric Brains

The Electric Brains are a psychedelic garage punk band based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. They perform as a group with Sarah Yorke, also known as Saz, on bass and lead vocals; Mike Parry on guitar; Mick West on keyboards; Mikey Mooch on drums; Paul Weatherhead on theremin; and Kath on backing vocals.

The band has a self-produced live album titled Why must we live like pigs. Their sound is described through a set of influences that includes The 13th Floor Elevators, Iggy and the Stooges, The Golden Dawn, The Sonics, The Standells, The Edgar Broughton Band, The Raveonettes, Sleater Kinney, Burt Bacharach, Captain Beefheart, and hallucinogenic drugs.
