The Earlies

The Earlies

The Earlies are a UK/US group formed by Christian Madden and Giles Hatton from Lancashire, England, and Brandon Carr and John Mark Lapham from Texas, United States. They are based around a blend of chamber pop, electronic music, neo-psychedelia, progressive pop and progressive rock, and their music also draws on influences ranging from folk-psychedelia to Beach Boys-style harmonies.

History

The band goes on hiatus in 2008 and reforms in 2015. Carr then takes an indefinite break from the group and teaches at ATEMS High School in Abilene, Texas.

Releases

The Earlies release their first album, These Were The Earlies, in 2004 on Names records. It includes tracks such as “One of Us Is Dead” and “Morning Wonder”. Their second album, The Enemy Chorus, follows in 2007. In 2015, the group returns with new material and the EP Message from Home.
