The Dumplings

The Dumplings are a Polish electropop duo from Zabrze, formed in 2011 and active from 2011 onwards. The group consists of Justyna Święs and Jakub Karaś, who meet at a song competition and begin making music together. They first work in an indie rock acoustic style before moving towards a more electronic sound.

In 2013, they compose several songs during the summer and send them to Łukasz Jakóbiak, whose online talk show helps bring them wider attention. The band then becomes an internet phenomenon and begins its first sold-out tour in November 2013, playing club shows across Poland.

In January 2014, they enter the studio of producer Bartosz Szczęsny to record material for their debut album. They sign to Warner Music Poland in February 2014, and their first studio album, No Bad Days, is produced by Szczęsny and released through Warner Music. The group is identified as an electropop act and is associated with indie, electronic and alternative styles.
