The Drum

The Drum is the later name used by the UK punk rock band China Drum, which takes that name from 2000. The group forms in the 1990s and consists of Adam Lee on lead vocals and drums, together with brothers Bill McQueen on guitar and Dave McQueen on bass.

Under the China Drum name, the band releases a number of singles, one EP, Barrier in 1995, and two albums: Goosefair in 1996 and Self Made Maniac in 1997. During the Self Made Maniac period, Jan Alkema joins as an additional drummer, which lets Lee concentrate on singing.

The band later adopts the name The Drum, a name that fans have already been using for years, and issues a final album, Diskin, in 2000 before the group splits up.
