The Drive

The Drive

The Drive is an alternative rock and post-hardcore group from London, United Kingdom, active from 2018. The name is shared by several different acts, including a Las Vegas post-hardcore band, an 1980s rock band, an acoustic rock trio from Chicago and Michigan, a pop-punk band from Raynham, Massachusetts, and a South African soul band formed in 1971.

The London group is listed under alternative, pop punk, jazz and emocore. The other acts using the name include a five-piece pop-punk line-up active around 2000 to 2003, whose singers include Ben Potrykus and later Martin Johnson; a rock band formed in the 1980s by Pat Dreier, Jamie Walker, Tony Paolino and Paul Kochanski; and a Las Vegas band with Danny Lopez on vocals, Andrew Mendoza and Chris Jones on guitar, Andrew Knight on bass, and Alex Castillo on drums.

The Las Vegas band releases two EPs, In Vertigo and Dream In Color, both recorded with Kris Crummett, as well as two singles in 2013. Another version of The Drive is an acoustic rock trio from Chicago and Michigan that describes itself as a high-energy live act.
