The Dipsomaniacs
The Dipsomaniacs are a punk rock group from the northeast of the UK, formed in the summer of 2007. The band draws on punk, rock and new wave, and is described as being heavily influenced by The Clash. Its sound is also associated with Oi, psychedelic rock and indie pop.
Line-up and connections
The group features current and former members of The Angelic Upstarts, Red London, Red Alert, Leatherface and The Pits. The members listed are Steve 'Castiron' Smith on vocals, Gaz Stoker on bass, Dickie Hammond on guitar, Neil Newton on guitar and Brett Mulvany on drums. Dickie Hammond and Neil Newton are confirmed members of the group. Individual members also work with or have performed with Blitz, HDQ and Doctor Bison, alongside the other bands already linked to the line-up.
Style
