The DeRELLAS

The DeRELLAS are a glam-punk and punk rock band that forms in 2007, led by Timmy DeRella and Robbie DeRella. The group also includes Luca DeRella, who joins after auditioning for the lead guitar role, and Tom Carter, who joins early in the band’s development. Timmy DeRella has previously played with the Glory Strummers, and Robbie DeRella has played with the Vibrators.

Style and reception

The band works in punk, rock’n’roll and glam-rock-influenced territory. It attracts attention from the British press, including coverage in Big Cheese Magazine and positive reviews in Classic Rock, as well as in glam rock and punk fanzines such as Bubblegum Slut.

Performances and releases

The DeRELLAS support Hanoi Rocks, Zodiac Mindwarp, Vice Squad, The Vibrators and The Germs. They also headline a European tour. Their album Hollywood Monsters is released on Crushworld Records. Another release, Trust Me, This Is Going to Hurt, is released on Rockaway Records.

Line-up

The band’s line-up is given in different forms across its activity, including Robbie DeRella on vocals and guitar, Timmy DeRella on bass guitar and backing vocals, Luca DeRella on lead guitar and backing vocals, Tommy DeRella on drums, Skinny DeRella on drums from 2010 to 2013, and later Timmy DeRella on vocals and bass, Luca DeRella on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jez Miller on guitar and backing vocals, and Steve Grainger on drums.
