The Departed
The Departed is a United States group associated with red dirt and southern rock. It is formed by Cody Canada after Cross Canadian Ragweed breaks up in 2010, with longtime bassist Jeremy Plato joining him. The lineup also includes guitarist and vocalist Seth James, keyboard player Steve Littleton, and drummer Dave Bowen, who is later replaced by Chris Doege.
The band first performs under the name Cody Canada and The Departed before shortening the name to The Departed for its second album.
A separate UK hardcore punk band and an Australian metal project also use the name The Departed.
