The Dead XIII
The Dead XIII are a UK horror punk group formed in Manchester in 2013. They combine horror-punk influences with metal and rock elements, and their style is described through fast riffs, heavy guitars, strong hooks and theatrical horror imagery. Their influences include the Misfits, Murderdolls and The Defiled.
Background
The band forms in Manchester’s backstreets in 2013 and becomes known in the North West for high-energy live performances. It plays UK shows and shares stages with The Fearless Vampire Killers, Ashes To Angels, Dead and Bad Pollyanna.
Line-up
The Dead XIII are a five-piece featuring Kurt Blackshard on lead vocals, Symon Lee on rhythm guitar and vocals, Paul Ryan on bass, Spike Owen on drums and Ste Mahoney on lead guitar.
Releases
The band releases the EP Creatures Of The Night, which includes tracks such as “Stake My Date” and “Army Of The Dead”.
