The Day Man Lost

The Day Man Lost are a UK hardcore band from Preston, Lancashire, active in the 2000s and later returning in 2011. They play a mix of fast punk and grindcore with power violence elements, and their lyrics address animal rights, anti-authority and anti-police themes, and working-class politics.

History

The band plays its first gig in November 2003 and its final show of the original run in August 2008 in Preston. It later returns to active service in late 2011. The original three-piece line-up plays a gig in Preston with Doom, Volition and Magpyes in March 2013. Over the summer, the group adds a new singer and bassist.

Releases and performances

The Day Man Lost play Bloodshed festival in Eindhoven in October 2012 and tour the UK with Looking For An Answer in March 2013. They record a split 7-inch EP with Prolefeed, released in a DIY manner by both bands. Further split releases are planned with Sufferingfuck and Suffering Mind, and the band also has a European tour planned with Sufferingfuck.
