The Dave

The Dave is the alias of David Williams, a solo artist from Poole, England. He begins making music in his bedroom before continuing to work while studying at the University of Sussex in Brighton, where he meets other artists to collaborate with. His sound is associated with experimental, indie rock and grime.

Career and collaborations

He builds a large underground following and attracts attention from bands such as Stenograph. He works often with The To Madeira Controversy, who contribute vocals and also provide remixes. His output includes the tracks But I'm Cool and With Whatever, which are presented as his best-known songs.
