The Dancers

The Dancers are a French electro pop band from France. The group consists of Clémentine Bartaud, Mathieu Meunier and Corentin Ollivier. They meet at a school music club and develop as a trio, with Corentin on vocals and guitar, Mathieu on drums, and Clémentine on vocals and bass.

Releases and sound

The band release their debut EP, New Chemistry, in March 2011. The six-track record features melodic indie pop with strong choruses, prominent vocals and close harmony. Its lead single, Eyes Closed, is noted for its radio-friendly hook.

Context and influences

The Dancers are associated with indie pop and are also described as an electro pop act. Their music is linked with the work of Phoenix, Metric, Bombay Bicycle Club and Vampire Weekend, which they name among the acts they listen to.
