The Covelles

The Covelles form in 2011 as a four-piece band made up of young music students with existing experience and close personal ties. The guitarists first meet in 1994, and later come across Luke, who becomes the group’s vocalist and bassist. Drummer Blair Murray joins later, completing the lineup. The band develops from a shared friendship and a collaborative approach to songwriting.

Their music draws on a wide range of influences, including 1960s music, blues, funk and classic rock bands. Their lyrics and ideas also take inspiration from life, lust and loss.
