The Committee Band is a large ceilidh band that develops from performances at Cecil Sharp House Knees-Ups into a headlining act in the ceilidh scene. In 1996, Folkworks describes it as a “large and powerful body” and notes its move from an informal diary-filler role to a prominent, scene-stealing, barnstorming band.
