The Child of Lov is the recording name of Martijn Teerlinck, also known as Cole Williams, a Belgian-born Dutch poet and musician from Lendelede in the Netherlands. He is associated with funk, electronic and soul, and works under the singular artist name “the child of lov”.

Career

He introduces the project through the song “Heal”, which appears on his YouTube channel under the name thechildoflov. That track is later issued commercially as a 7-inch release through Double Six Recordings. A second video, “Give Me”, follows and is later included on the 10-inch release of “Fly”.

The self-titled album The Child of Lov is released through Domino Recording Co. It includes guest appearances from DOOM and Damon Albarn.

Death

Martijn Teerlinck dies in 2013 following complications after surgery.
