The Chase

The Chase is the name used by several different bands in rock and hardcore music. One version is a post-hardcore and alternative rock group from London, United Kingdom, with Mikey Lloyd on vocals, Greg O'Grady and Alex Williams on guitar and vocals, Tom Crickmore on bass and vocals, and Moggy on drums. Another is a melodic hardcore band from New Zealand, while a separate post-hardcore act comes from La Cañada and Los Angeles, California, in the United States.

London band

The London line-up releases the promotion single “At The Awake Roadside” in 2006 and the EP The Glamour And The Shame in 2007. In June 2007, the band joins the Dead Beat At Dawn Tour 2007.

New Zealand band

The New Zealand version of The Chase plays melodic hardcore and releases two EPs, as well as the full-length album Paranoia in 2008.

California band

The California group forms in early 2007 and has six members. Its line-up includes Carl Dolvin on vocals; Nick Morzov and Andy Morzov on guitar; Nick Awad on bass; and Chris Ramirez on drums. The band records its first EP, A View Of The Sun From Underwater, and later releases Second Star To The Right in 2009. Its stated influences include Circa Survive, Chiodos, Saosin, Coheed And Cambria, The Used, Incubus, Muse, Thrice, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Underoath, Tenacious D, Saves The Day, Minus The Bear, The Almost, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Brand New, Foo Fighters, 30 Seconds To Mars and Taking Back Sunday.

Nottingham band

Another The Chase is an indie rock band from Nottingham, England, formed by Tyler Heaney, Dion Heaney, Luke Childs and James Cahill. The group takes its name from the Robin Hood Chase area where the members grow up. It releases the debut EP Not the F*cking Game Show, a six-track record that includes “I’m The Man,” “Set The World To Rights” and “Live to Die.” In February 2025, the band announces an indefinite hiatus.
