The Castells are a male vocal quartet from Santa Rosa, California, in the United States. Their sound blends light rock with collegiate harmony singing and jazz elements, and it appeals to both teenagers and adult listeners.

Career

The group is best known for two charting singles on Era Records: “Sacred” and “So This Is Love.” “Sacred” reaches number 20 in 1961, while “So This Is Love” reaches number 21 in 1962.

Members and later activity

One member, Chuck Girard, later joins the surf rock group The Hondells and goes on to become a notable CCM artist in the 1970s.
