The Buzz

The Buzz is an Italian project made up of Frank Bellotti, C. Bosio and Massimo Fabrizi. The name is also used by several other acts, including at least two different bands from the UK, so it is important to distinguish this project from those groups.

One Buzz begins in 1977 and records a melodic punk single called Insanity for Redball Records in Shropshire. That line-up later changes, with Ian Davies on drums and Chris Bellingham on vocals, while Nic Evans remains the main songwriter. The group then records a four-song demo a year later and, in 1981, makes the album Asylum at Foel Studios in North Wales, moving towards a more post-punk sound. After limited support for the album and Ian Davies leaving, the band folds. Its members later continue as the synth-based Luxi Trio, then in projects including The Satyrs, the Loosehound Drifters and Gilbert Grape, before Ian Davies rejoins Nic and Richard Evans in 5he Gilberts, which later becomes New Planet Animals.

Another Buzz is a British rock band from Cambridge active in the early 1990s, during the mod revival and pre-Britpop period. Its only single is Tell Her No, released by Detour Records in 1993. The band consists of Andrew Lindsay, Richard Fairclough, Tom Roughan and Jon Evans.
