The Body
The Body is a US sludge and drone metal duo from Little Rock, Arkansas, active since 1999. The group consists of Lee Buford and Chip King. Its sound combines doom metal, sludge metal, drone, industrial and experimental rock elements, with heavy low-end riffs, high-pitched screaming vocals and occasional samples.
Recording history and output
Since forming in 1999, The Body has built a large catalogue that includes seven full-length albums, numerous EPs, a demo, a remix album and an anthology collecting EPs, 7-inches, demos and related material. The duo also releases split EPs and collaborative recordings.
Collaborations and splits
The Body works with a wide range of other acts, including Braveyoung, Thou, Krieg, Full of Hell, Vampillia, MSC and Uniform. It also issues split EPs with Get Killed, Sandworm, Whitehorse and Bummer.
