The Blaster Master
The Blaster Master are a ska group from Oulu, Finland, and are among the earliest Finnish third wave ska acts. Their sound is rooted in ska and draws on Jamaican ska and rocksteady, two-tone, dub reggae and Motown, alongside influences such as Mano Negra, Madness, The Specials, The Jam, Small Faces and Les Négresses Vertes.
Recordings
The band releases four albums: Skanga! (1997), Skandinista (2000), Tuffer Than Roots (2005) and Rude Boy Life (2008).
Line-up
The Blaster Master go through several line-up changes over time. Their current line-up is Zakke Cuba on vocals and guitar, Andy Sutela on guitar and vocals, Miika Saarikowsky on keyboards and vocals, Brother Mathias on bass, and Matt Ryhane on drums.
