The Blanks

The Blanks are an a cappella group from Los Angeles, United States. The group consists of Sam Lloyd, Philip McNiven, George Miserlis and Paul F. Perry, and performs with four voices only. Their stated approach excludes traditional instruments, though they allow vocal and body-percussion elements such as talking toys, hand claps, finger snaps and thigh slaps.

Work and style

The group performs in the a cappella genre and is associated with television work, appearing repeatedly in Scrubs under different names including Ted's Band and The Worthless Peons. Their lineup is identified by vocal role: Lloyd sings tenor and lead, McNiven is countertenor, Miserlis is baritone, and Perry is bass.

Release and related project

The Blanks release the album Riding the Wave. Sam Lloyd and Paul F. Perry also work together in another group called The Butties.
