The Big Chris Barber Band is a traditional jazz band led by Chris Barber. Its history begins with the Barber New Orleans Band in 1949, then Ken Colyer’s Jazzmen, followed by Chris Barber’s Jazz Band in 1954, later Chris Barber Jazz and Blues Band, before taking its current name in 2001.

The band has performed more than 10,000 concerts over more than 60 years and becomes one of Europe’s most successful traditional jazz bands.
