The Balloons

The Balloons are a British DIY and post-punk band. They release at least one 7-inch single on Earwacks Records in 1980, and their output includes at least two singles and an LP on the London label.

Their music sits toward the more experimental end of the post-punk spectrum, with a pop sensibility that is compared to mid-period Soft Machine. One track, “Jean Paul’s Wife,” is singled out as one that Robert Wyatt listeners may especially appreciate.
