The Aristocrats
The Aristocrats are an instrumental rock and fusion trio from the United States, active since 2011. The group consists of guitarist Guthrie Govan, bassist Bryan Beller and drummer Marco Minnemann.
Style and formation
The band is a progressive rock group that is also associated with jazz fusion, jazz rock, funk, heavy metal and instrumental rock. It forms around the three players working with equal weight in the arrangement and performance, rather than a single frontperson. The group comes together almost by accident, after the members discover how well they play together while jamming.
Line-up
Guthrie Govan plays guitar, Bryan Beller plays bass and Marco Minnemann plays drums. The trio format is central to the band’s sound.
