The Argent Dawn are a five-piece death metal band from Swindon, active since 2006. They form in the southwest of England and build a reputation through live work and extensive touring.

Background

The band begins in late 2006 and spends its early years writing material before releasing its debut album in 2010. It completes seven full UK tours and shares stages with Dying Fetus, Napalm Death, Whitechapel, Despised Icon and Ted Maul.

Line-up

Jamie Harrison handles vocals, Jake Lawrence and Tom Scobie play guitar, Grant Anthony plays bass, and James Burke plays drums.

Style and influences

The Argent Dawn play death metal with influences drawn from Decapitated, Bloodbath and Aborted, alongside bands associated with the later wave of heavy metal and deathcore such as Whitechapel and The Acacia Strain.
