The Amazing Snakeheads
The Amazing Snakeheads are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 2010. The group centres on Dale Barclay, with Laura St. Jude also part of the line-up, and the wider membership includes William Coombe, Jordon Hutchison, Andrew Pattie and Scott Duff. Barclay handles guitar and vocals, Coombe plays bass, Hutchison plays drums, and St. Jude contributes additional vocals and percussion. Pattie later joins on saxophone and also covers bass when Coombe is absent, while Duff replaces Hutchison on drums.
Style and live reputation
The band is associated with psychedelic rock, rock, indie rock, garage rock and punk blues. It develops a reputation for intense live performances, which become one of its defining features.
Recording history
The Amazing Snakeheads release their debut album, Amphetamine Ballads, in 2014. The record receives strong critical and public attention. The band dissolves the following year.
After the band
After The Amazing Snakeheads, Dale Barclay forms a new group called And Yet It Moves, which releases the album Free Pass to the Future in 2017.
