Thaiboy Digital

Thaiboy Digital is the stage name of Thanapat Bunleang, also known as Khazitin G. Bonleunge. He is a Thai rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and fashion designer from Khon Kaen, Thailand, and he is a member of Drain Gang. His work sits across alternative R&B, Chicago drill, cloud rap, electropop, pop rap and trap.

Background

Born in 1994, Bunleang moves to Stockholm, Sweden, at the age of eight. His family relocates to Sweden in 2003 after his mother becomes a chef at the Austrian embassy in Stockholm. He is later based in Bangkok.

Music career

As a teenager, he becomes active in the Stockholm music scene, joins the group that later becomes Drain Gang and works with artists including Yung Lean. In 2015, he returns to Thailand after his mother’s work visa expires and the Swedish immigration authority requires the family to leave. He settles in Bangkok and records with local artists such as Younggu and Dandee while continuing to contribute to Drain Gang releases.

His contributions include the 2019 album Trash Island, part of which is recorded in his Bangkok apartment. His project My Fantasy World draws inspiration from Basshunter and Tiësto. After a three-year hiatus, he releases his second album, Back 2 Life, in 2022, an album that focuses on his return to music and uses the recurring theme of “seven years” to reflect his effort to make up for lost time.
