Tessera Skies

Tessera Skies is a Newcastle upon Tyne three-piece active since 2012. The group forms after four years of intermittent writing and recording alongside university studies. Its members come from backgrounds in speech, sound, science, classical music and jazz, and they combine those influences in music that draws on pop, ambience and orchestral elements.

The name comes from ideas and interpretations of the sky, both artistically and scientifically. The group also chooses the name for how it sounds.
