Tessa Violet is an American indie pop and pop artist, vlogger, actress and former model. Born in Chicago, United States in 1990, she grows up in Oregon and performs in theatre while in high school.

She begins making videos in 2007 as part of a school project and later posts daily while travelling to Hong Kong and Thailand as a fashion model. She is also widely known under the name Meekakitty on YouTube, where her videos are mostly humorous and use fast cuts.

Her debut album, Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled, is released in 2014. Violet is also recognised for her colourful hair and large-frame glasses, and for her interest in Digimon, Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter and The Legend of Zelda.
