Terry Vietheer is a house DJ and producer who begins his career after more than a decade of dancing to house music around the world. He starts out playing small venues in Sydney, before building a reputation for energetic sets and moving on to larger bars, clubs and parties in the city.

Career in Australia

Vietheer’s first gig takes place in 2005 at a small bar in Sydney, where he plays to a few hundred people. As his profile grows, he performs at Sydney’s leading bars, clubs and parties. In 2006 he joins John Course, Goodwill, Tommy Trash and Alan Thompson on Ministry of Sound’s Sessions and Housexy tour, and he also appears on the Hed Kandi annual tour. Australia’s inthemix.com.au describes him as an artist with a strong future.

In 2007, Home, Australia’s biggest nightclub, books him as resident for its circuit party, which draws more than 2,000 people. He becomes known for closing sets on the terrace and supports artists including Peter Rauhofer and Offer Nissin.

Move to London and UK residencies

In 2008 Vietheer relocates to London. His first UK residency is at Pacha’s Funky4love night, led by Hagenaar & Albrecht of Big Love and Nocturnal Groove. He later takes a weekly Monday residency at Heaven, where he plays house music alongside Gordon John, Ariel and Lisa German.

International performances

Outside the UK, Vietheer performs in Italy at Amnesia, Skylight and Magazzini Generali, in Russia at The Honey Club, in Switzerland at Jim, and in Spain at Razzmatazz.

Production work

In 2009 he works with Per QX on a debut track called Old School, Nu School. The track reaches Tom Stephan and Roger Sanchez, leads to an exclusive signing with Stealth Records, and appears on Roger Sanchez presents Release Yourself Vol 8.
