Terminal State

Terminal State is a Slovak electro-industrial and EBM project from Prešov, active since 1992. ChrisXX starts the project with Bin@ry Runner and remains the main creative force and producer throughout its run.

Formation and early recordings

The project’s first recording session takes place at AD Micro studio as its first digital take. Only two tracks are recorded at that point: “Cyberfaith” and “Further to light”. Although the session costs time and money, the result is not what the group expects, and work continues towards a debut album.

In 2000, the album Unline Codes appears. After its release, Bin@ry Runner leaves Terminal State.

Line-up and related projects

ChrisXX’s brother, Minor Float, later joins the project, first as a live keyboardist and then as a contributor to composition as well. Outside Terminal State, ChrisXX also runs the ambient project Apophysia and the techno solo project THXM. Minor Float is also involved in the EBM project Static Charge Disease and the IDM solo project The Opposer Divine.

Other acts with the same name

There are several other groups using the name Terminal State, including a hardcore punk band from Toronto, a drum and bass project from Europe, and a hardcore punk/metalcore band from Singapore.
