Tenille Townes is a Canadian country music singer from Grande Prairie, Canada. Born in 1994, she begins releasing music as a teenager and builds her profile in Canadian country music through albums, charting singles and award recognition.

Career

Townes releases her first album, Real, in 2011, followed by her second album, Light, in 2013. In 2011, she receives a Canadian Country Music Award nomination for Female Artist of the Year at the age of 17. In 2019, she wins Female Artist of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards.

Label work and recording

In 2018, Townes signs with Columbia Nashville. Her first single for the label is “Somebody’s Daughter,” which becomes her first charting single. It reaches number 92 on the Canadian Hot 100 and goes to number one on the Canadian Country chart.

Charity work

Townes raises more than $1.9 million for Sunrise House, a shelter for homeless youth in Alberta, through her annual fundraiser, Big Hearts For Big Kids.
