Teenage Mutants

Teenage Mutants are a German electronic music group from Hamburg, active since 2010. The act consists of Pascal Klank, Christian Samujlo and Fábio Luis Fernandes, and is also described as the duo of Christian Samujlo and Fábio Fernandes, with Pascal Klank formerly part of the project. Their sound spans deep house, house, melodic house, melodic techno, peak time techno and tech house.

Career

The project goes through a second phase after Christian Samujlo continues it as a solo venture for five years before the duo formation resumes. Teenage Mutants are associated with a melodic, groove-led techno direction and maintain a reputation built around club-focused production. They release music on labels including Sony Music, Ultra, Suara, Stil Vor Talent, Bunny Tiger, Hed Kandi, Incorrect, Click Records, Nervous, Katermukke, Definition Music and Light My Fire.

Releases and collaborations

Teenage Mutants prepare an album for Stil Vor Talent and release a series of EPs, including Chapter Two. Their track Hanging On, made with OFF founder Andre Crom, reaches number one on the Beatport charts. They also place highly on charts through collaborations with Purple Disco Machine, Moonbootica, Laura Welsh, Betoko, Jonas Saalbach and Lars Moston.

Remixes and touring

Their remix work includes versions of tracks by Nervo, Autograf, Sailor & I, Third Son, Niiche, EdOne, Edouard! and Simion. Teenage Mutants also tour widely as DJs, with appearances across locations including Johannesburg, Moscow, Paris, Hollywood, Miami, Berlin, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, and they perform across Asia, the USA and South America.
