Teenage Joans

Teenage Joans are an Adelaide pop, pop punk and punk group active since 2019. The duo consists of vocalist and guitarist Cahli Blakers and drummer and vocalist Tahlia Jayde. The band forms in Adelaide, South Australia, and their early live history includes a first gig with fellow Adelaide band The Hard Aches.

Releases

The band’s first single, By the Way, appears in 2019. Their first official project, the EP Taste of Me, follows and includes Something About Being Sixteen, Ice Cream and Wine, all of which place in that year’s Hottest 100. In 2023, they release their debut album, The Rot That Grows Inside My Chest, after a run of singles that includes Three Leaf Clover, Super Glue, Candy Apple and 5 Things I Can Taste. The album is also accompanied by a short film that later appears on YouTube.
