TEED

TEED is the pseudonym of Orlando Higginbottom, a London-based electronic artist born in 1986. He works in alternative dance and related club styles, including ambient, bass house, breakbeat and breaks.

Releases

He debuts with the All In One Sixty Dancehalls EP on Greco-Roman in 2009, followed by All In Two Sixty Dancehalls EP in 2010. That second EP brings wider attention, especially through the track “Garden”, which is later reissued by Polydor and gains radio support and a global placement in a Nokia Lumia advertising campaign. Early material is also collected on Prehistory I and Prehistory II, both issued in 2011 on Greco-Roman.

TEED’s debut album is Trouble, released in 2012.

Performance and collaboration

He is known for a live show that combines dance music with unusual instruments, glitter cannons and dinosaur costumes. He tours across North America and Europe, and plays headline dates across the UK, alongside appearances at major summer festivals.

His remix work includes tracks by Lady Gaga, Friendly Fires and Professor Green. He also travels to the Congo to work with local musicians as one of the producers invited to collaborate on Damon Albarn and Oxfam’s DRC LP project.
