Teddy Music

Teddy Music is a UK DJ and producer who also uses the name Silencer. His work spans grime, hip-hop and R&B, and he is also the DJ and producer for the group Underground Unit.

Early life and start in music

Teddy begins DJing at 14 and starts producing at 17. As a young person, he spends time at local youth clubs including Community Links, Little Ilford, YAP, New Canteen and Windsor Park Estate Youth Club.

Radio and production work

His production work helps widen his audience and leads to a slot on Rinse FM, where he presents a Monday show from 5 to 7pm. He is also associated with instrumental beats, and his best-known beat is World War 4, which brings him wider attention. This beat is available through Wow Bass Level 1.

Underground Unit and chart success

Through Underground Unit, Teddy Music produces several beats that reach the Channel U Urban chart show. The tracks Poison and Dresscode place fifth and fourth respectively.

Collaborations and performances

He performs alongside DJs including DJ Spyro, DJ Vectra and DJ Flippy Smalls, the latter formerly a member of grime crew Boyz In Da Hood.
