Technikal is the performance name of Alf Bamford, a hard dance DJ and producer from the United Kingdom, born in 1986. He works in hard trance and hard dance, and his output also includes hardcore, electro-tinged and psy-trance-tinged material.
Career
Technikal begins producing music at the age of thirteen, inspired by his older brother, and signs his first track when he is seventeen. His first release, Annihilation, appears in 2003. After being discovered in 2004 by HeatUK’s Spencer Freeland and Marc French, he becomes a prominent figure in the UK hard dance scene. His work as a producer and engineer is described as prolific, and he sells hundreds of thousands of records worldwide.
He collaborates with a number of artists in the hard dance field, including Phil Reynolds, Steve Hill and Rob Tissera. He also produces alongside Guy Mearns, known as Guyver, and Pierre Pienaar, known as P.H.A.T.T.

Technikal also develops a DJ career and plays a peak-time hard dance style. His live appearances include Tidy Weekender, Goodgreef vs. Sundissential, Frantic, HeatUK’s New Year’s Eve Party at Brixton Academy, Progress and Masif in Australia, and Impulz in Holland.
