Tech Support
Tech Support is the project of DJ and producer Edward Dickinson, from Brighton, London. The act begins as a duo called Milla and Leon, who meet in April 2005 and travel by bus to a small house outside Uppsala in Sweden. The following summer, the pair record the A Thousand Lions EP in Stavanger, Norway. The release is described as low-quality and muddy-sounding, but it marks the start of a wider story for the project.
Eight months later, Tech Support moves to Bergen to work on music full-time. The project describes its music as superacoustic, with influences ranging from Simon and Garfunkel to The Mars Volta. It also places itself in alt-pop, with a faint gypsy rock tinge. The music is presented as difficult to categorise. A later release, Pandora's Box, is also mentioned.
The project’s plans and imagery include record releases, motorbikes and naked people, alongside a stated ambition to keep expanding the project.
