Tate McRae
Tate Rosner McRae is a Canadian singer, songwriter and dancer from Calgary, Alberta. She first comes to prominence as a finalist on the American television competition So You Think You Can Dance, where she appears at the age of thirteen. After her television breakthrough, she begins posting original songs and covers on YouTube and builds a substantial following there.
McRae’s music develops within pop and electropop, and it is often described through its focus on heartbreak, self-reflection and personal growth. Her breakthrough single, you broke me first, becomes a worldwide hit in 2020 and establishes her internationally. Her earlier training as a competitive dancer remains a central part of her work, shaping the visual side of her performances.
Her later releases include greedy, the lead single from THINK LATER, which draws on dance influences and combines rhythmic production with choreography. Her third studio album, So Close to What, includes the singles It's ok I'm ok, 2 hands and Sports car. She also tours in support of the album with the Miss Possessive arena tour.
