Talk Show

Talk Show is a short-lived American alternative rock band active in 1997 and 1998. The group consists of David Coutts on vocals, Dean DeLeo on guitar, Robert DeLeo on bass and Eric Kretz on drums. It is best known for its brief existence and for being closely connected to Stone Temple Pilots: Coutts, formerly of Ten Inch Men, replaces Scott Weiland while he works on solo material and deals with drug addiction.

Recording and release

The band releases one self-titled album on Atlantic Records in 1997. From that record, it issues the single "Hello Hello" and makes a music video for the song. Another track, "Everybody Loves My Car", is promoted to radio.

Reception and end of the band

Although the album receives positive reviews and the band tours with Foo Fighters and Aerosmith, sales are disappointing and the record is treated as a commercial failure. After the poor response to the album, Coutts leaves, and the DeLeo brothers and Kretz reunite with Weiland in Stone Temple Pilots.
