Tales Of George are an indie and punk band from Bognor Regis on the south coast of England. They form in September 2009 after long-time friends Dan Simons and Terence Wing meet bass player James Langridge through mutual friends and decide to start writing songs and playing live after a trip to Benicassim festival in 2009.

The band records its first demo within a month of forming and begins to build a local following through gigs in and around Bognor Regis. Footage from these shows is later put online, which helps them develop an internet audience as well. After around a year as a three-piece, Dan Simons moves to lead guitar and local drummer Joss Love joins, making the group a four-piece and shaping the sound associated with the band.

Their live activity includes shows to crowds of around 350 at the Mud Club and a larger set in front of about 4,000 people supporting acts such as The Automatic and From The Jam, the latter led by original Bass player Bruce Foxton. They also receive local radio play and record more demos as their style moves towards a more punk-oriented sound.

The band is described as coming from Bognor and looking to reach a wider audience beyond their local scene.
